After working at Sontay back in 2018 in an internal sales role, Clare Osborne has recently returned to us to pursue her career as a sales advisor. Responsible for supporting Sontay’s existing customers, Clare has years of experience working in various sales roles across different companies. In this Q&A, we find out more about Clare and what her new role at Sontay will entail.

Q: Why did you want to work at Sontay?

A: I know this is going to sound cheesy but it’s because of the people! Working at Sontay is like being part of one big family where everyone feels heard and supported. Having this support really makes a difference in terms of personal growth and development.

Q: Which aspect of the role do you enjoy the most?

A: Definitely getting out there and meeting the customers face to face! I report to Joanne Stopps Sontay’s Internal Sales Team Manager. I provide support to customers and sales managers and ensure all orders are despatched on time.

Q: What attracts you to the HVAC industry?

A: It’s an interesting industry to be in because it is constantly changing. BMS will always be needed and in line with the industry’s growing performance on building performance, they are becoming even more important.

I also like knowing how the sensors work and where they are being installed.

Q: Now for some fun, quickfire questions! Tell us an interesting fact about yourself…

A: One of my previous job roles, before I joined Sontay, was once a Christmas elf! (I am only 4ft 10).

Q: What do you like to read/listen to/watch?

A: I love a good crime or thriller book, not to mention a series on Netflix. Music wise, it’s really mixed but I usually love anything I can sing along to!

Q: Who inspires you?

A: There are so many people I admire and am thankful for in life – I don’t think I could pick just one!

Q: What five guests would you invite to a dinner party? Dead or alive…

A: David Attenborough, Rob Beckett, Adele, Prince William & Kate Middleton.
