In these unsettling times, the Sontay team have made some adjustments to the sales team structure to ensure the best support for our customers.

Kerima Barker will take the reigns for the French market from Fabien Gehan and Hugo Cayssials to offer a familiar face to our valued customers in the region.

Donal Lynch will be bringing his skills in international sales to our rest of the world region with a steady hand and excellent industry and product knowledge.

At Sontay, we are proud of our worldwide presence and our cherished customers within international markets. The pandemic and Brexit have caused unsettling situations for us all over the past year.  We, therefore, wanted to ensure our international customers are supported with familiar and expert sales managers in many regions.

France 

Our French customers have experienced a great deal of change in the way our shipments are received post Brexit.  We are pleased to say that this is settling down now and processes are much improved.  There have also been changes in the sales team based in France for 2021 with both Hugo Cayssials and Fabien Gehan leaving Sontay for new opportunities.  
To ensure that we can offer the best support to all, we are bringing a familiar face in. Kerima Barker, who you may recall as Kerima Cassim, has been with Sontay for 15 years and started her career with us in the sales team for France.  Over the years, Kerima has worked in international sales for Sontay in supporting customers around the globe.  She certainly has built up a wealth of experience in the building controls market, our product portfolio and managing our international customer’s needs.  We believe she is the perfect person to take on the role at this time of change by bringing a steady hand and familiar and friendly face to our French customers, whilst continuing to work with customers in Southern Europe and Benelux.

Rest Of World

To ensure we can also hand over the baton for our customers in the rest of the world, we are introducing another highly experienced sales manager to focus on these regions.  Donal Lynch has worked in international sales for Sontay for 13 years.  His role began in his home market in Ireland where he has become a well respected and highly thought of sales manager.  Since then, he has worked in both our US and Scandinavian markets to raise awareness of the Sontay brand . 
Donal has risen to the challenge of managing a multitude of international markets and his knowledge of our industry and product range is second to none. He is able to assist in all aspects of the sales environment in supporting customers with selecting the right products for their projects and applications.  He also has an indepth knowledge of the import process post Brexit so can support customers in ensuring their shipments arrive as easily as possible.  Donal will continue to work with the Irish and Scandinavian markets.

TIMELINE FOR CHANGES TO TAKE PLACE

  • 31st March 2021 Fabien Gehan will leave Sontay Ltd. 
  • 1st April 2021 Kerima Barker will takeover in her new role. 
  • 12th April 2021 Donal Lynch will begin his new role – he will be on annual leave up until this date.
