News
Sontay’s global sales team is going from strength to strength, with the company welcoming new starter Alejandro García Rubio as Internal/External Sales Support Executive. Alejandro will play a vital role in providing support across the international sales team and customer base.
We chatted to Alejandro to find out more about him and what’s so exciting about working in the HVAC industry.
Q: Why did you want to work at Sontay?
A: I’ve always enjoyed keeping up to date with new technology, and so I’m keen to now work for a company where I can be a part of how the technology is created. Even though I am new to the industry, Sontay has already offered me the training I need to progress in my professional development and career growth.
Q: Which aspect of the role are you most excited to start?
A: Everything! At the moment I am working alongside the internal sales team, and it’s so great to find out about their brilliant work. Eventually, I will go on to support the international sales managers. I am excited to combine the skills gained in both roles to start contributing in my own unique way.
Q: What attracts you to the HVAC industry?
A: As I mentioned before I am new to the industry, and so I still have a lot to learn. But from what I have seen, HVAC is an industry that continues to show signs of strong growth with the development of new technology; therefore, a great opportunity to get started.
Q: Now for a few fun, quickfire questions! What do you like to read/listen to/watch?
A: I am not much of a book reader so I enjoy reading the latest news instead! When it comes to listening to music, it really depends on my mood, but I am more of an electronic music type of person. When I have some spare time to relax, I like to watch documentaries or movies based on true stories.
Q: Tell us an interesting fact about yourself!
A: I lived in Beijing for 3 years.
Q: Who is your hero?
A: I haven’t given this question much thought before, but it would have to be my parents. At the end of the day, they are both the ones who taught me how to be a great individual, how to succeed in life and they are the ones supporting me unconditionally.
Q: What’s your perfect weekend?
A: My definition of a perfect weekend is variety. When there is enough time to travel to a new place, try out a new activity, have a pleasant day at home, or simply enjoying a drink over a few games of pool.
Q: What five guests would you invite to a dinner party? Dead or alive…
A: It would have to be: Tutankahmun, Nikola Tesla, Hernán Cortés, Joe Rogan, Mike Tyson.
